A brief bio of my footy career.

I Started Playing AFL at age 7 with the South Wagga Tolland Dons in NSW and spent 28 years with that same club winning several awards,  playing over 200 senior games and at age 18 played 54 games in one season playing 3 games every Saturday with 19’s, reserves and first grade.

I’ve been lucky enough to coach some of the junior grades for several seasons until work commitments took over. At age 19 I moved to Qld and played 2 seasons with Sherwood in reserves and first grade before moving back to NSW due to employment.

At age 35 Started playing Masters footy and represented NSW at several major carnivals as both a player and coach for 5 years gaining All Australian selection on 4 of those occasions.

Now after not playing for 15 years and moving to Qld nearly 4 years ago, and a bit of coercing from Bronwyn, I am now the proud coach of the Carrara Saints under 14’s team.

Greg Williams

My name is Greg Williams, this is my first year as an AFL junior coach. I was born in Melbourne and moved to Queensland at the age of 26. I played AFL in Victoria from the ages of 6 to 18 years and have followed the game all my life.

I grew up in Cheltenham and was in walking distance of Lynton street oval where St Kilda played, I am a St Kilda saints supporter though and through.

I have been involved with the Carrara Saints for 5 years through my son Caleb who started in the under 9s and has moved up each year. I have assisted Caleb’s coach of 4 years Chris Templer in various roles and I am excited to finally get this season underway and look forward to working with the team to try and help develop their skills.
