U11 Girls Raw Challenge

What a ripper of a day! I am lucky enough to have just started my first year of coaching.

Coaching the U11.5 Girls this year after playing at the club for 15 years, having begun at the age of 5. Managing to rope in my girlfriend Jayde Porter (yes I do have a girlfriend) who has a huge amount of experience in teaching dance to girls of all ages for 8 years now.

On the 7th of March, the Carrara Saints Football Club were invited to a day out at Raw Challenge Gold Coast in the lovely Numinbah Valley. This course consisted of 60 obstacles over 9km, including a 50m slide and MUD, and when I say MUD, I mean it is everywhere. After coaching these amazing girls in preseason I have learned that they are a lot of fun and have an enormous amount of energy. When we ran the course they never stopped smiling and surprised me at every corner by helping each other over obstacles and pushing them into others. All the girls bonded greatly as a team, sharing some great memories they won’t forget and developed some great teamwork and leadership skills.

Thanks to the help of Adam (parent) and Eric (U13.5 coach) the girls managed to get through the entire 9km’s and had a huge amount of fun. Jayde and I are having an awesome experience coaching and mentoring these amazing girls.

Go Saints girls power!!!
