U11 Girls Match Report

Hey Sainters

If anyone has seen the U11.5 girls around, they would see the girls with the biggest smiles and us as coaches with even bigger smiles on our faces. Every Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm to 5pm we have been having a blast learning how to kick the ball up the bum and keep the rocket ship upright, while also having so much fun. Jayde and I are super lucky to be a part of this fantastic team of girls and we challenge any other team to have as much fun as we do.

The girls probably played one of their most memorable games on the weekend against the Burleigh Bombers in torrential rain with non-stop tackling. Allegra was named captain of the team and led extremely well on the weekend, backing up her efforts to play with the U11.5 boys right after our game. We gave the girls a task to dispose of the ball properly when being tackled and they managed to listen and learn so quickly that we are running out of things to teach them. All the girls bear hugged exceptionally well, but Zali exceeded all expectations on the day and got the Best on Ground Macca’s award for the team. Well done Zali and all of our U11.5 girls, we are super proud of you all.

Watch out world! The U11.5 girls are only getting better and are coming for you!
