My name is Shane Madeley, married to my beautiful wife Debbie. I have two children, My son Mitchell 22 and Jade my daughter 23. My occupation is a gyprock plasterer which I’ve been doing for 35 years.

My parents moved us up to Queensland from Yarram Victoria when I was 6 years old where. I played 8 years of senior footy at Broadbeach.

I started coaching at Broadbeach Cats in 2006 under 8’s and continued coaching at a junior level for 10 years I’ve coached every age group at junior level sometimes twice. While coaching at Broadbeach I also assisted at the suns academy. I then moved into the Colts at Broadbeach which I coached for 3 years, in the third year I was also assistant coach in the reserves and runner in the seniors. After that I went on to coach the
Broadbeach reserves for two years.

My first year we were successful in winning the premiership. And I’m now looking at a fresh start at Carrara, working with Pedro.

I’m excited about the opportunities ahead for us here at the Carrara Saints.
